Privacy policy

Draft: pending legal review. This page describes what the site does today, but a legal professional has not checked it yet.
Who we are
Trade Niche is run by Fawzan, [postal address, to add before launch], which is responsible for your personal data under this policy. You can reach us through our contact form.
What we collect and why
Your account. If you create one, we keep your email address and the name you choose. Your password is stored as a secure hash, and we cannot read it. If you log in with Google, Google gives us your name, email address and profile picture. We use this to run your account. Legal basis: our contract with you.
Saved tools and feedback. We keep the tools you save and the feedback you write. Once your feedback is approved, your chosen name and text are public. Legal basis: our contract with you.
Newsletter. If you sign up, we keep your email address, the date and where on the site you signed up, so we can send occasional emails about new tools and deals. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Contact messages. We keep your name, email address and message so we can answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering people who write to us.
Click statistics. When you follow a partner link or copy a discount code, we record the tool or deal, the page you were on, the date, your device type (desktop, mobile or tablet), your approximate country and any campaign tags in the link. If you are logged in, the record is linked to your account. We do not store your IP address in these records. We use them to measure which pages and campaigns lead to partners. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site performs.
Cookie choices. We record each choice you make in the cookie panel, with a random ID, the date and the policy version. If you are logged in, the record is linked to your account. Legal basis: our legal obligation to be able to show your consent.
Technical data. Our hosting providers process technical data, including IP addresses, to deliver pages and keep the service secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure site.
Who processes your data
We do not sell your personal data. These providers process it for us or at your request:
- Supabase: database, login and account emails.
- Netlify: hosting.
- Google: login, only if you choose to log in with Google.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it.
Partners do not receive your name or email address from us. When you follow a link to a partner, you leave our site, and their own privacy policy applies. If you enter one of our codes, the partner knows that the sale came through us.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on the safeguards those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Account, saved tools and feedback: until you delete your account or the feedback.
- Newsletter: until you ask us to delete your address. After you unsubscribe, we keep it marked as unsubscribed so that we do not email you again.
- Contact messages: as long as needed to answer you and deal with any follow-up, then we delete them.
- Click statistics: as long as they are useful for our statistics. Deleting your account removes the link to you.
- Cookie choices: as long as we may need to show what you chose. Deleting your account removes the link to you. We ask you again after about 6 months, or when this policy changes in a way that matters.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including in the EU and the UK, you can ask us to give you access to your data, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, send it to you in a portable format or stop using it where we rely on legitimate interest. You can withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what we did before. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
You can do much of this yourself on your account page: change your name or password, manage the newsletter, delete your feedback or delete your account. For anything else, use our contact form from the email address concerned.
Your California rights
If you live in California, you can ask to know what personal information we collect, and ask us to delete or correct it. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. The categories we collect and why are listed above.
Do not sell or share my personal information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We use no marketing tools today. If we add any, they will only load if you accept Marketing, and you can turn it off here at any time. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we keep Marketing off.
Children
Trade Niche is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a minor has given us data, please contact us.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects your cookie choices, we will ask you again.
